International E-Waste Day was created by the WEEE Forum in 2018. This initiative, celebrated on the 14th of October, involves 78 countries and 172 organisations.
The aim of the event is to raise public awareness of the dangers of electrical waste and the need to recycle and treat it properly, as it is one of the most dangerous and fastest growing waste streams in the world.
