TransforMAR is an initiative by Lidl and Electrão that challenges vacationers to collect plastic to transform it into something new. This project is part of the commitment made by Lidl in 2018 to reduce plastic by 20% by 2025.

In 2024, Lidl and Electrão teamed up for another edition of the TransforMAR programme. In its 7th edition, the programme awarded €30,000 to three projects that contribute to the protection of the oceans and aquatic ecosystems.
