Where appropriate, large equipment is partially dismantled to recover various materials. For example, removing shelves, drawers and other components from refrigerators.
This consists of the extraction of various substances (oil, CFCs). The coolants and oils are hermetically vacuumed before the removal of the compressors, to prevent their release into the atmosphere. These fluids and oils are extracted and removed.
Manual sorting makes it possible to extract different fractions (waste, engine, plastic, glass, unwanted items, etc.).
The equipment passes through a grinder that breaks it down into smaller fractions. This process separates waste such as plastic, copper, iron and aluminium. The PUR foams present in the equipment are vacuumed to be treated separately. Magnetic fractions (ferrous metals) and CFCs are also extracted. This process takes place in an inert environment to prevent the release of the gases contained in the foams.
The various materials are processed to obtain raw materials that can be reused.
