The Electrão Open Day is an opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes of recycling. Electrão, in collaboration with its operational partners, organises visits to several treatment and recycling units to show what happens to waste after it is left at collection sites, whether it is packaging, batteries or used electrical equipment. The objective is to promote greater literacy in this area.
