Escola Electrão is an Electrão project that aims to raise awareness and involve teachers, students, staff, parents and the community in general in the recycling efforts through the collection of electrical equipment and used batteries.
In addition to contributing to the protection of the environment, participating schools, teachers and students can win prizes.

How to become an Escola Electrão?
- Schools that want to join the campaign for the first time should register using this form.

- After signing up, just start recycling!

What are the benefits of participating?
- The campaign helps to raise awareness among students and teachers about the selective collection of batteries, lamps and electrical equipment.
- Electrão provides containers for selective collection and posters to promote the campaign and raise awareness of recycling practices.
- By participating, schools can win vouchers for the purchase of new electrical equipment. The more they collect, the more they win!
- Scheduling collections is simple and quick, through the Electrão Operating Platform (POpE).
What are the incentives?
- Collection: the waste collected is worth points. One point will be awarded for each 100 kg of used electrical equipment, 10 kg of batteries and accumulators, or 10 kg of lamps.
- Awards: the points accumulated through collection and participation in Repórter Eletrão can be converted into prizes. See the regulation for more information.
- Repórter Electrão: encourage your students to produce creative contents that help build recycling habits. The best works will win prizes.
- Ecovalor Program - EGF: schools that participate in both Escola Electrão and the “Recicla e Ganha" competition, part of EGF’s Ecovalor programme, will receive 1 additional point.
How can you contribute as a citizen?
- You can help your local school win prizes by dropping off your used batteries and electrical equipment for recycling at your nearest school. Find yours at www.ondereciclar.pt.
