Which transfer regime applies to me?
This applies to members who annually place on the national market a quantity of electrical equipment, comprised in the legal categories, equal to or greater than 1 ton.
Members of this regime must report the quantities of electrical equipment they place on the market to Electrão on a quarterly basis by filling in the reporting forms on the Members Portal.
This applies to members who place on the national market less than 1 ton of electrical equipment, comprised in the legal categories.
Small-scale members must complete two annual reports: the estimate report and the actual report, on the Members Portal.
What is Electrão's role?
Electrão collects used electrical equipment through its own collection network, which consists of thousands of locations throughout the country, including waste-producing companies.
Once collected, Electrão transports used electrical equipment to sorting centres, where it is separated by type and material to ensure the best treatment. The materials are then sent to recyclers to be transformed into raw materials for the manufacture of new products.
